South East Asia – HELP!

Calling all backpackers and travellers of the beautiful place of South East Asia.

After years of pinning to go I have finally decided that 2018 will be the year I go. After a lot of change recently I’ve realised that the only thing that hasn’t changed is my love for Asia. The beaches, food and culture draws me there every time I start day dreaming at my desk. This leads me to ask the question does anyone have any suggestions? I’m currently planning the below places:

  • Vietnam
  • Thailand
  • Cambodia
  • Singapore
  • Philippines
  • Malaysia
  • Indonesia
  • Potentially Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan – money permitting.

I’ll also be out there for my 23rd birthday, Christmas and new year so I’m very open to suggestions on where to celebrate these!

      1. We have great beaches down south. You can start of with Cebu then Dumaguete and Siquijor. There’s a lot of islands to choose from! But I definitively recommend that you go to first to Bohol then Cebu then Dumaguete and lastly Siquijor.

There’s also a lot of beautiful places up north also, so you can do a lot of things. You can go to Palawan (Coron), La Union, Ilocos region and my personal favorite, Batanes Group of Islands.

Hope you’ll have a great stay here. Enjoy! 🤗

  1. I’m going to be writing a few blogs on my travels through all of these countries. Keep an eye out! Follow my instagram for photos from our trip. Feel free to ask me any questions too 🙂 we’re heading out to Asia again in May to visit the Philippines and I might go back to Cambodia 🙂

  2. Bangkok for shopping, kampot and Kep Cambodia for backpacking adventures and it’s cheap, Siem Reap Cambodia for culture/history. Malaysia for food. Japan to be amazed, and step out of your comfort zone and go to Nepal

  3. I have been to 18, out of the 81 provinces in the Philippines and Palawan is my favorite. You can go to Coron for snorkeling and Island/Lake hopping (the lakes are a combination of salt and fresh water) then take the boat to El Nido. El Nido has the best beaches in the Philippines, my favorite is Nacpan Beach. You’ll need atleast 10 days to do both Coron and El Nido.

  4. I have also traveled to Siem Reap Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Bali Indonesia. There’s not much to do in Kuala Lumpur but It was a cheap City to travel. Cambodia has its own charm. There are so many things to do in Bali, but I was only able to stay for 3 days. I suggest you stay for a minimum of 5 days. I have yet to write my experiences in Bali in my next blog. But it is one of the places I wanna go back to.
