Blogging to keep track?

Since I went to the doctors a few weeks back and got a referral, I haven’t been able to stop researching bi polar. I’ve been watching a YouTuber called LizziesAnswers who is AMAZING! She’s been through so much and is just so raw and honest, she’s also super relatable because she’s 23. She’s not a typical YouTuber that has the “everything will be fine” story, she a real person who shows her real struggles and has extreme knowledge on the subject.

In one of videos she explains how because she’s a writer she keeps a journal of how she feels to keep track of her manic and depressive episodes, which I think is such a great idea! Although I have myself started keeping track of any emotions or actions which could relate to bi polar I thought realistically my blog is my emotional journal, no?

I go a week or two without writing anything and that’s because I’m down and have no energy for anything. I just want to sleep alllllll the time, I feel physically tired. Then I have days where I’ll write 4 blog posts in 3 hours (Although I won’t post them all, I have a lot in draft). It got me thinking maybe I should print my blog posts off and take them with me when I go to see my physiatrist, surely a blog is the pathway into someone’s mind and how they’re feeling? We write so much raw material without even thinking about who will see it that perhaps really we should be sharing it with loved ones and health professionals?

Anyone who thinks they may have symptoms of bi polar or depression I’d highly recommend checking out Lizzie’s channel. It was honestly the push I needed to accept everything she was saying about herself was me.
