Asia Bucket List

I’ve been pretty quiet at work again today so it’s given me time to look into my backpacking trip to Asia. I mentioned a few times on this blog that come November I am packing my backpack and heading to Asia for three months with a good friend. Scared, excited and all the things in-between is exactly how I feel about this situation.

I have so many things I want to do whilst there that I’ve decided to write this post and make a list. Once back I’m going to review it and tick everything (hopefully) off!

  1. Eat a scorpion
  2. Swim with whale sharks in Philippines
  3. Angkor Wat Temples in Cambodia
  4. Spend my birthday on an island, on a beach, with a mocktail (I’ll be turning 23 whilst out there!)
  5. Elephant conservation
  6. Orangutan Centre
  7.  See Mount Fiji
  8. Full moon party in Thailand
  9. Boat rides
  10. Learn to paddle board
  11. Walk on the Great Wall of China
  12. Check out Buddha temples
  13.  Try (I put pressure on the try) and take a picture with a monkey
  14. Ride in a tuk tuk
  15. Visit the floating markets in Chiang Mai
  16. Ping pong show in Thailand
  17. Coron Island in Philippines
  18. Explore Hoi An, Vietnam
  19. Go to the Supertrees in Gardens by the bay in Singapore
  20. Check out Komodo National Park in
  21. Indonesia
  22. Visit White Temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand
  23. See the PETRONAS Towers in Malaysia
  24. Go diving with manta rays in Indonesia
  25. Chocolate hills in Philippine
  26. Experience the Boracay caves in Philippines

So let’s see how many things I can tick off.

If you’re a travel blogger or have any suggestions please let me know!

  1. My tip – stay at the Eastern & Oriental hotel in Penang. It’s like Raffles (built by the same brothers, in fact), but a fraction of the price. All suites, so colonial, so special. I passed by it on a fam trip (travel agents’ trip) and resolved to go back one day. I did. My favourite hotel anywhere.

  2. I love this, I’ve always wanted to go to Asia; it’s the one continent I’ve not been to. So many of the things on your list I want to do, I really hope you manage them all and have a fabulous time! Can’t wait to hear what you get up to 🙂

  3. Hey Rosie, I’m so happy to see that Philippines is one of the countries you want to visit. Boracay is still under renovation, they want to restore it’s beauty and will be open in October, I think.. so perfect timing when you go there in November. Whale shark is in Cebu and I think it’s an hour flight from Boracay.
