Rome vs Bipolar

Firstly, before I get into this blog post I just want to say a massive thank you to the people that are still reading my blog, you’re awesome and have inspired me to continue writing. Thank you for letting me take my little… ok fine, long break. But hey I’m back!

If you follow me on Twitter then you’ll know that I was just in Rome. Rome to me stands out as one of the best and oldest cities in Europe. I’ve had Rome on my bucket list for years and I finally ticket it off – woohoo! and you can believe I lived on pizza and pasta. I’ll leave some pictures below.

However instead of writing about Rome I want to writing about travelling with Bipolar and how it was different this time due to being medicated. I’ll link my post about Valencia here, it was a terrible experience where I had a manic episode due to lack of sleep and fell out with a friend.

This time whilst travelling I was completely medicated not only for my Bipolar but for my depression as well. This is how it was different:

  • I didn’t have a manic episode. I put this down to me sleeping correctly and not staying up for 24 hours beforehand.
  • I didn’t have a break down from the manic episode.
  • I was surrounded by positive people and people who understand my disorder.

This made a huge difference and has made me realise that I CAN and WILL continue to travel with Bipolar and I’m going to write about my backpacking trip along the way. I recently did a poll on twitter about changing my blog to a travel blog with Bipolar and I got an amazing response. So going forward I will continue to write about OU and beauty until 24th February and then I will officially be a travel blogger!

I know this blog has been a bit scattered and I apologies for that, I’m just getting into the swing of things again so thank you for sticking with me on this, I promise it will get better!

Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts I’m always interested!

Love Rosiesx
